If you are looking for things to do in San Diego, heading down to Mission Bay is always an excellent idea. Around the bay you can find people running, biking, swimming, roller blading, and much more. If you want to get really adventurous and enjoy a day on the water, consider water skiing.
Adventure Water Sports offers boat and water ski rentals that will have you and your friends out on the bay and skiing in no time. Even if you’ve never been water skiing before you are going to have a great time. It will probably take a few tries to get your balance right, but once you do and you’re up on your feet being pulled by the boat you will have quickly found some new favorite San Diego things to do. After some brief lessons regarding operating the boat, you and your friends will be able to take turns driving the boat and water skiing as you soak up some rays and enjoy another beautiful San Diego day at Mission Bay. Be prepared to get wet, and bring some refreshments and snacks on board the boat to keep you fueled for what will be a day to remember. The calm waters of Mission Bay make it a perfect place to learn how to water ski, and once you get used to it the captain can pick up speed and you can really test out your newfound skills.
Renting a boat at Adventure Water Sports starts at $190 for an hour for a 19 foot ski boat or $225 for one hour for a 24 foot boat. Boats can be rented for up to four hours, and any rental of three hours or more comes with free water ski rental. All safety equipment is included and you must be 18 or older to rent and drive a boat. If you are concerned that water skiing might be too hard for you you can also rent a tube to ride in the wake of a boat. There are plenty of great things to do in San Diego today, but it doesn’t get much better than spending a day relaxing on a boat and water skiing.
Funbassadors can make arrangements for a rental and offer advice on water skiing to a first timer or take out their own boat if they have one. Funseekers can purchase a FunGig that gets them on a boat and learning how to water ski.
